Site shutting down on 31st December 2024
Why do I need to login with Google, Amazon or Outlook?
The minimum we require to integrate with HMRC MTD on your behalf is a successful login via HMRC and associated approval for us to view and submit your returns.

In addition to this however, and in order to adhere to HMRC's strict anti-fraud guidelines, we also require that users login with one of their existing online logins. Existing logins with Google, Amazon or Outlook (Microsoft) will be sufficient for you to authenticate yourself with opendigitaltax.net.

If you do not already have a login with one of these three common websites, then just pick one of them and setup a new account. It is very straightforward and completely free.

This allows us to validate your identity and confirm your email address without requiring you to create yet another login with opendigitaltax.net. This is simpler - one less login - and also more secure as we do not hold a separate login/password for you.
